Did you know?

Did you know commercial tea bags often contain plastic? Many brands use a sealing agent called polypropylene to seal the tea bag — it isn’t biodegradable or recyclable. Even worse, some premium tea bags are made with cheap plastic mesh, which releases billions of microplastics with every cup. Herbal tea with a dose of microplastics? We’ll pass.

Geography.

Made by thousands of family farmers and tribal wild-crafters (foraging) across India.

Hot tip.

Pour freshly boiled water over an infusion bag in a cup. Cover your mug with a lid (or a small plate) and let the infusion bag steep for 10 minutes (or longer). To double the strength add 2 bags, it is best doubled when serving iced.

Organic India

The seeds for Organic India were planted when a small group of travellers converged upon the northern Indian town of Lucknow to listen to the simple teachings of spiritual leader H.W.L. Poonja. Brimming with inspiration and ideas, they felt driven to help rejuvenate and restore the agricultural landscape in India. With their holistic business model, they have supported and educated impoverished farmers and tribal wildcrafters in organic and biodynamic regenerative agricultural practices including composting, crop rotation and seed collection.

Organic, pure and natural, their teas are centred around tulsi (or Holy Basil), which is a sacred herb known as Mother Medicine of Nature. With its restorative and spiritual properties, it supports detoxification, reduces stress and can help relieve symptoms of respiratory illness. Harness India’s ancient Ayurvedic medicinal wisdom with Organic India.
