Did you know that when cooking oils reach their smoke point, they may become toxic? Volatile and harmful chemical compounds are released, which have been linked to lung and bladder cancer. The lower the smoke point of the oil, the easier it is for toxicity to occur. Thankfully, beef tallow has a high smoke point at around 200 degrees.

Sol Organics

Sol Organics products are more than just handcrafted — they’re heart-crafted, too. Following a series of devastating health lows, Sol Organics owner and founder Jen sought relief in a local herb shop. She was introduced to Ayurveda and the traditional healing practices of ancient medicine, and her passion was sparked instantly. Through this healing process, Jen was inspired to travel to the Ayurvedic Institute in New Zealand, where she learned to cook traditional healing foods, including one star ingredient: ghee. Upon returning home, Jen set out to build Sol Organics; a family-owned business that shares the benefits of Ayurvedic food, and creates gluten free, organic, whole food products made with love.
