Did you know?

Did you know that raw nuts contain phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors that reduce their mineral bioavailability? Activation of nuts through soaking and drying improves the bioavailability of key minerals like iron and zinc (and to a lesser extent, calcium). The activation process can also help reduce feelings of heaviness, bloating and nausea, which is sometimes caused by the excessive consumption of nuts.

Geography.

Sustainably grown in Taylorville, South Australia.

Hot tip.

Forever hungry? Stash some almonds in your pantry, handbag or desk drawer. These nutritious nuts reduce hunger while lowering your overall calorie intake. You can thank their sky-high levels of protein and fibre.

The Almond Farmer

Dennis and Pam Casaretto, together with son Jarrad, are nuts about all things almond! After first growing almonds on their property, they decided, in 2003, to start a full time commercial farming operation to share the health benefits and versatility of almonds. They now grow, hand sort, carefully select and process the almonds on their farm located in South Australia’s Taylorville, on the iconic Murray River. Equally passionate about sustainable farming and protecting the environment, they focus on permaculture practices (such as using spiders rather than insecticides to manage pests) and use biodegradable and recyclable materials for some of their packaging.

With the ideal climate for producing high-quality, tasty almonds, the family is proud to offer premium farm-fresh products to Aussie pantries.
