Dave and Barbara Wetzel started Green Pasture after being inspired by the work of Dr Weston A. Price, an advocate for carefully prepared traditional and sacred foods, such as organ meats, from cultures all around the world.
They used the lush and abundant pasture they had nurtured on their family farm to create their first product, concentrated butter oil. This, like many of the other animal foods promoted by Dr Price, is rich in essential fat-soluble vitamins. These fat-soluble vitamins play an integral role in the body, contributing to bone and reproductive health, and strengthening immune function. From there, their product line expanded to also include fermented cod liver oil (when combined with butter oil it greatly boosts the nutritional benefits). Nutrient dense and of premium quality, all of the Green Pasture products are designed to assist in achieving robust health.
