Unlike Remedy, which is naturally sugar-free and longe fermented over 30 days, many commercial Kombuchas add in extra sugar to sweeten the naturally bitter taste of real Kombucha, or they only allow for a short fermenting period which doesn’t give the cultures enough time to create the beneficial acids and prebiotic properties.
