Did you know that premade falafels are usually fried in large amounts of oil, and set with raising agents? Seeing as you can’t control how conventional falafels are made, you could be overdoing the saturated fat content without realising. General rule of thumb? Opt for a clean mix that you can whip up when the mood strikes.

Put down the garlic sauce. Instead, create your own healthy tzatziki to go with those falafels. All you need is Greek yoghurt, garlic, lemon, cucumber, dill and a sprinkle of sea salt.
